Bring your paddle and a life jacket, we'll supply the canoes. The Beaver is one of the best paddles in southern Ontario, and it runs across the road from the event. Paddle down to Free Spirit Tours in Heathcote, leave the canoe there, and we'll arrange for its transport back later.
You'll just have to have a car parked down there so you can drive back. The float is a beautiful, gentle, wild 6 hours, so you should be on the water for no later than 9am if you want to pull this off before things get serious back at the tent. Pack a camera, expect to see wildlife.
The Beaver Valley is loaded with outdoorsy opportunities. Come up Friday evening or early Saturday to get in on some of this. The Bruce Trail is a short hike up the hill from Jonathon and Ingrid's. There are half a dozen waterfalls in the area to check out. Stop by the Kimberley General Store for a sandwich and a detailed map of the area. They're also super friendly and can probably point you in the direction of awesome things.
Rock climbing surrounds us-if you'd like to try climbing but have no experience, let us know, and we'll put you in touch with one of the area's local guides. For all you crushers, Baldy, Metcalfe, The Swamp, and DG are all <20km away.
